Ministries

Sharing Ministries is how we live out our faith by serving others—both within our church and in the wider community. From preparing meals for those in need through our Hunger Ministry, to filling Birdie’s Box with essentials for our neighbors, to gathering in fellowship through Women’s Ministry and quilting—we serve with open hands and open hearts. Each act of love is a reflection of Christ’s care, reminding people they’re not forgotten, they’re deeply loved.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a confidential one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in
congregations that use the Stephen Ministry Series system.

Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen
Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

The AFTER People……

  • After the phone call you hoped you’d never get
  • After the funeral when everyone has left
  • After the relationship falls apart
  • After the doctor says “I’m sorry”
After the nursing home director says “welcome to your new home”
  • After the last child waves and drives away
  • After the gavel comes down and handcuffs go on After the baby arrives demanding more than possible
  • After you find the pink slip in your final paycheck
  • After your family and friends have heard your story too many times

Women's Ministry

Our Women’s Ministry is a space for connection, creativity, and community. Whether you’re gathering with the quilting group or joining the women’s fellowship, there’s a place for you to grow in faith and friendship. It’s about showing up for each other—sharing stories, lifting each other up, and using our gifts to serve with love.

Healing Hearts Grief Ministry

You're warmly invited to be part of Healing Hearts, a grief support group at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. This group is a safe and compassionate space for anyone who has experienced loss — whether recently or many years ago. Grief has no timeline, and you are not alone in your journey.

We gather every Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Grace Place, a quiet and welcoming room in our church dedicated to care and connection. Each session begins with a brief devotion grounded in faith and hope, followed by an open time of sharing, listening, and support. You’re free to speak or simply sit and receive — there is no pressure, only presence.

Healing Hearts is more than just a meeting; it’s a ministry of care, a circle of comfort, and a place where people walk together through the valley of grief. Whether you’ve lost a spouse, child, parent, friend, or any loved one, we welcome you to join us as we hold space for healing, peace, and community. All are welcome, just as you are.

COSLC offers a range of outreach ministries focused on caring for our neighbors with compassion. This includes Feeding Hungry Kids, Loaves and Fishes, and Birdie’s Box—each dedicated to providing meals and support to those in need. Through these ministries, we put our faith into action and extend Christ’s love beyond our walls.
